Based on short stories from Robert Boswell's collection, seven vignettes explore the difference between fantasy and reality, memory and history, and the joy and agony of the human condition.


The stories were written and helmed by students of James‘ “Adaptation and Collaboration” class in UCLA’s graduate filmmaking program.

The student filmmaking teams were lead by MFA directing students Mark Columbus, Lauren Hoekstra, Sarah Kruchowski, Ryan Moody, Simon Savelyev, Vanita Shastry, Shadae Lamar Smith, and Jeremy David White and UCLA MFA producing students Nina Aujla, Gerren Crochet, Dana Gills, Mike Leach, Jonathan King, Jesse Maiman, Michael Masini, Tatenda Mbudzi, LA Ross, and Lisa Vangellow. Executive producers include James, Vince Jolivette and Jennifer Howell of Elysium Bandini Studios. The film’s sales reps are Michael Lurie and Jeffrey Giles of Automatic Entertainment.
