This post was supposed to be made yesterday, but technical issues didn’t let us.
One year ago (June 10) we launched Kate Mara Online, motivated by the lack of online resources. It surprised us that a whole year was already passed and, to celebrate, a new layout has been made.
The beautiful header was made by our friend Neide from Kaleidoscope3, once again with a theme by Monica. We hope you like it as much as we do!
Kate is already promoting her new film Megan Leavey, that arrives on theaters this June 9. As part of this promotion she took a new photoshoot with the renowned photographer John Russo, and you can find it added now in our gallery.
Kate attended this afternoon the 10th Annual Veuve Clicquot Polo Classic at the Liberty State Park in New Jersey. To celebrate its anniversary, the event was hosted by Neil Patrick Harris and there was a special performance by Alicia Keys. The event was also supporting Keep a Child Alive and that brought many celebrities including Nicole Kidman, Pryanka Chopra, Freida Pinto and Andrew Rannels, with Kate posing for photos with them as well. Check in our gallery the first HQ images.
Following the success of her 2013 documentary ‘Blackfish’, Gabriela Cowperthwaite is jumping into narrative dramas with the true-life tale Megan Leavey and ahead of a release this summer, the first trailer has arrived.
Starring Kate Mara, it follows her titular character who received the Purple Heart after fighting in Iraq, where she formed a bond with a canine. Years later, she fights to adopt him, and judging from the trailer, it looks to be a heart-tugging drama. Also starring Edie Falco, Ramón Rodríguez, Bradley Whitford, and Common, check out the trailer below.
MEGAN LEAVEY is based on the true life story of a young marine corporal (Kate Mara) whose unique discipline and bond with her military combat dog saved many lives during their deployment in Iraq. When she is assigned to clean up the K9 unit after a disciplinary hearing, Leavey identifies with a particularly aggressive dog, Rex, and is given the chance to train him. Over the course of their service, Megan and Rex completed more than 100 missions until an IED explosion injures them, putting their fate in jeopardy.
Earlier this month Kate attended the Alice + Olivia by Stacey Bendet presentation during February 2017 New York Fashion Week at Highline Stages in New York City. We finally managed to add high quality pictures in our gallery.
